HANDS-ON FIELD TRAINING
Work alongside master-certified ICS technicians on real residential and commercial jobs from day one. No classroom-only theory — you learn by doing.
STRUCTURED CURRICULUM
Our program follows a structured learning path covering plumbing fundamentals, code compliance, MEP systems, and advanced diagnostics — building your knowledge systematically.
MASTER-CERTIFIED MENTORSHIP
Every apprentice is paired with a master-certified ICS technician who provides direct guidance, feedback, and accountability throughout your training.

THE JOURNEY
YOUR 18-MONTH PATH TO JOURNEYMAN
FOUNDATIONS
Months 1–3Introduction to plumbing systems, tools, safety protocols, and code basics. You'll shadow senior technicians on residential service calls and begin developing your diagnostic instincts.
APPLIED SKILLS
Months 4–9Hands-on installation and repair work across a range of residential and light commercial projects. You'll take on increasing responsibility under direct mentorship.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
Months 10–18Complex system work including MEP coordination, commercial buildouts, hydro jetting, and advanced diagnostics. Exam prep for state licensure begins in this phase.
JOURNEYMAN READY
Month 18+Complete your documented field hours, sit for your journeyman exam, and transition into a full-time ICS technician role — with a team that already knows your work.
ELIGIBILITY
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We don't require prior experience — we require the right attitude. If you're willing to work hard, show up consistently, and commit to learning the craft, ICS will invest in you.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physical ability to perform field labor
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- High school diploma or GED preferred
